The pushchair carrycot saved our sanity for the first 6 months as it seemed to be the one place she would sleep soundly. Now she’s bigger, she can sit upright kept nice and secure by 5 straps - she’s not escaping this one! She’s also kept so comfortable by nice thick padding for the car seat, a mini mattress for the carrycot, and the most luxurious liner for the pushchair. Walk Dubrovnik City Walls My number one thing to do was taking a walk of the Dubrovnik city walls. There's so much to see as you walk all around the perimeter of the Old Town, as well as stunning views out to sea. Visit Lokrum Island Just 15 minutes from Dubrovnik Old Town sits the gorgeous island of Lokrum. Benedictine monks used to occupy the island, building a monastery and looking after the botanical gardens that still stand today. Legend has it that in 1123, Richard Lionheart was cast ashore after being shipwrecked whilst returning from the Crusades. This is a really stunning island with lots of history, peacocks and lovely buildings. No wonder Game of Thrones chose this place as the setting for many scenes. You can even sit on a replica of the Iron Throne here! Get the ferry here from the Old Town Port or kayak over if you're feeling adventurous. Definitely take the walk up to visit the Fort and venture to the lagoon to cool off after. Explore the Old Town Inside the walled city of Dubrovnik is the Old Town, a bustling hive of activity, especially when the Cruise ships turn up at 11am! There's loads to see so just take a walk and explore the beautiful architecture and sights. I loved exploring the picturesque side streets, especially the ones heading up the hill. Check out Pile Gate, Ploce Gate and Sponza Palace. Enjoy the beaches of Korcula This one is definitely for those of you with a bit more time on your hands, or with a hire car! We took an early morning 3 hour drive up to the island of Korcula and are so glad we did it. The island can only really be explored by car after taking a car ferry from the mainland, especially if you want to see the unbelievably crystal clear waters in the many beaches and coves. Our top highlights were the beaches of Lumbarda, Pupnatska Luka and Old Korcula Town Top Tip: The drive up the coast is gorgeous and so easy, with hour of endless jaw dropping views. Yet another setting for lots of Game of Thrones scenes, this old Fortress gives a glimpse into the scale of the Old Town fortifications that were needed to resist attacks from sea and land. It also hosts live open air plays and Opera through the summer! The Souk District One of the most interesting and overwhelming places I've been, and surely the best place to capture the full essence of Marrakech. This place is crazy - the sights, smells, noise and hustle and bustle cannot be believed until you get here - do not miss getting lost in this maze. Take your time! Palais Bahia One word, tiles... Jardin Marjorelle & YSL I love fashion so couldn't wait to go and visit the home and museum of the iconic Yves Saint Laurent. The Jardin Marjorelle was YSL's creation and home for many years where he designed many of his masterpieces. The garden is beautiful and so colourful with deep blues, yellows and reds. In fact Marjorelle Blue is the colour famous to Morocco which can be found all over the walls of the buildings. Le Jardin Secret Deep in the Medina you can find a little Oasis of calm which is the secret garden. This hidden gem can be found behind a small door off one of the bustling streets in the Medina. After 8 years of loving restoration, two gardens can be found here. One containing exotic plants from all over the world, and the other a beautiful courtyard, covered with the traditional beautiful green tiles famous within Marrakech. Visit a Riad Walking through the tight streets of the Medina, you'd never believe the jewels hidden behind the small doors. A Riad is basically a traditional townhouse built around a small courtyard to give people a rest from the Medina. Nowadays they are mostly hotels, restaurants and a great place to get a Hammam massage. Fisherman's Bastion I loved my visit to the fairytale Disney castle that is the Fisherman's Bastion. It was near impossible to choose my favourite picture from here, it's a photographer's dream Head up first thing in the morning to avoid the crowds and get stunning pictures of the Bastion and the views over Budapest, including the Danube and Parliament. Szechenyi Thermal Baths Tired of running around the city and need to unwind? What's better than a day chilling in the thermal baths.. Sun, rain or snow, you'll be able to rest your weary body in the 17 indoor and outdoor thermal baths whilst the local pensioners play chess around the pool. There's also a very fun party night here on Saturday nights in summer! New York Cafe I adored an afternoon being serenaded by great musicians in the lavish surroundings of New York Cafe. This place is beautiful and so ornate. Parliament One of the most majestic buildings in Budapest, incredibly impressive architecture from all sides. Home to the Hungarian for over 100 years, this building is set on the Pest side of the river to provide some balance with the Buda side. St Stephen's Basilica My final favourite place to visit was St Stephen's Basilica, a short walk from some great bars nearby.
